AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON THE EFFECT OF KAMIBANHA.SASIMTANG

Abstract
|
|
|
These studies were conducted about the effects of kamibanhasasimtang which is derived from banhasasimtang. It is composed of Pinelliae Tuber, Scutellariae Radix, Ginseng Radix, Zinziberis Radix, Ziziphi Fructus, Glycyrrhizae Radix., Coptdis Rhizoma, Hoelen, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpiurn, Saussurreae Radix.
The results were as followed.
1) The sedative effects were recognized by the rotor rod method, wheel cage method and hypnosis induced by thiopental-Na.
2) Analgesic effects were noted writhing syndrome induced by acetic acd and Randall-Sellito method in mice.
3) Significant anti-edemic effects were recognized on the edema induced by carageenin.
4) Spontaneous mobilities in the isolated ileum of mice were significantly suppressed and contraction of isolated ileum of mice and guinea-pig induce by acetylcholine, barium chloride and histamine were strongly inhibited.
5) Transport rates in the small intestine of mice were significantly decreased.
6) Gastric juice secretion was significantly inhibited in Say´s rats.
7) Vasodilatating action was recognized by Krawkow-Pissemski method.
8) Decrease of blood pressure with slight enhancement of respiration was recognized.
According to the above results, it is expected that Kamibanhasasimtang will be effective on many gastrointestinal diseases.
